I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio (Cleveland Heights) and am a proud graduate of John Carroll University with degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education.
After college I married my high school sweetheart, Paul. God blessed us with three beautiful children - Clare, Ginny and Geoffrey. We moved into a
lovely neighborhood just a block from John Carroll and life was full and busy. The kids walked to school where I was the PTO president for a term. I
taught kindergarten at St. Clare’s, another Catholic school nearby.
In 1998, a career opportunity for my husband arose at a bank in Pt. Charlotte and we made the big move to sunny FL. I was hired at St. Charles
as the third grade teacher and am now in my eleventh year teaching at St. Charles. (I am currently in my seventh year as the first grade teacher.)
(Clare, Ginny and Geoff continued their education here and are St. Charles graduates. Clare is a recent graduate from The University of Florida with a
degree in Journalism. Ginny is a Junior at Florida State University. Geoff is a freshman at The University of Florida. Go Gators!) We are truly a “house
divided.”
Go Gators! Go Seminoles!
When Jesus said “Let the Little Children Come to Me,” (MT 19:14) he was telling us that it is the children in their innocence that teach us. It is their
prayers that are heard first and from them I learn so much. I am inspired by my students and it is because of them that I love teaching. To work at
St. Charles is an honor and a blessing. The children, families, and staff are awesome!
“Peace be with you, as the Father has sent me so I send you.” JN 20:2
